One of CSRs that Hoppy Beverage Co. Ltd. takes seriously is regional revitalization. "Each of your steps create your path, so take each step seriously, and think locally," is founder, Hide Ishiwatari’s, motto. He knew that our culture’s backbone is the history of Tokyo, and we need to treasure it and preserve it. The second generation president, Koichi, had the same faith and started to reconstruct the half rotten Dashi (floats for festivals) at Hikawa Shrine, by himself, and it drew lots of support. Looking at those amazing Dashi at this year’s Hikawa Festival, we really appreciate that we could be a part of reconstruction and this cultural treasure we celebrate. We proudly keep our own CSRs in our generation as well.

自分の足元、地元を大切に」〜創業者の教え

地域創生活動はホッピービバレッジのCSRの大きな柱です。それは、「自分の足元、自分の地元を大切にせよ」という創業者、石渡秀の教えを貫いてのこと。たとえば、地元、氷川神社に半ば朽ちながら保存されていた氷川山車の復元を、二代目の光一がひとりで始めたのも、同じ思いからでした。今では多くの山車が修理復元され、秋祭りの際は都内でも有数の壮大な山車の巡行ができるようになりました。江戸の賑わいを復興させる。東京の歴史と文化に育てられたこその飲食文化。だからこそ、これを盛り立てるための貢献を続けていきたいのです。
